Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is a mercurial singer and composer who weds the soul of gospel and jazz with R&B with a distinctive mix. From Broadway to European music festivals and clubs Avery Sunshine has been a hit across the globe. Sunshine has the name Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta but she is from Chester Pennsylvania where she began her musical vocation by singing and playing the piano in the church. After graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she started her journey in music on the Atlanta's R&B musical scene. The very first song to feature her voice was called Stalk You, a Japanese house 12 song. It has been remixed and a part of her set. Also, she contributed to The Fighting Temptations soundtrack. In 2005 she took on the role of the pianist in Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award winner) offered her an opportunity to be the choral conductor of Dreamgirls in Atlanta during the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was the subject of national media attention due to her four daily performances during the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Sunshine was chosen to sing as part of President Barack Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
